NORWOOD SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA

Experience the performance of the oldest continuously running community orchestra in South Australia, featuring passionate musicians from all walks of life performing four concerts annually

The Norwood Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer-run community orchestra with the main objective of advancing culture and music education among the community, both performers and audiences alike. The orchestra perform 4 concerts per year, usually in the Norwood Concert Hall while occasionally participating as guest performers in wider community events.

The orchestra's musicians come from all walks of life, being made up of retired professionals, university students and anyone else with an ability and passion for playing orchestral music.

The orchestra remains the oldest continuously running community orchestra in South Australia and the second oldest orchestra in general after the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra. They recently celebrated their 100th anniversary milestone in 2023.
